This dissertation makes commitment to develop the expert system of atmospheric environmental impact assessment of coal-fired power plant, the expert system software uses object-oriented programming language Visual Basic6.0 to design software front interface, takes the Access data base as backstage data support programs, adopts VB database technology to access the Access database, makes the front interface and the backend database achieves a good combination.The expert system includes seven main modules which are Status Evaluation, Basic Data, Concentration Prediction, Polluting Control Suggestions, Graphics, Helping and Exit. The Status Evaluation part can realize the hour concentration evaluation and the daily average concentration evaluation of pollutants. Environmental quality level modules of ranking points is also added in this part, adopting Grading Evaluation Method to determine environmental quality level of ranking points; the data information storage of engineering material, environmental standards and prediction point information of the expert system is realized in Basic Data part, the storage method is Access data tables, the addition, remove and modification operations of data table information is achieved through Access database access technology of Visual Basic6.0. In Concentration Prediction part, First Stage Concentration calculation of evaluation factors of ranking points is achieved through Gauss point source diffusion mode, First Stage Concentration is divided into two circumstances that are wind blowing and nuiciu static wind; in this part it also includes calculations of maximum landing concentration and its appearence distance , Flue Gas Lifting Height as well as appraisal conclusions and suggestions. The suggesting function of pollution prevention based on specific pollutants is realized in Polluting Control Suggestions part. Pollutants include soot, SO2, NOx, the corresponding pollution prevention measures and Suggestions can be showed through clicking the pollutants name. The Graphics part can be divided into two parts which are the Concentration Isoline and the Wind Rose Diagram and can realize addition and drawing of graphics. The helping part includes two parts which are the expert system composition introduction and the expert system operation, either part establishes corresponding tree directory structure according to the construction of expert system, according to the directory titles the corresponding text files are established, the corresponding text file informations are showed through clicking the titles.
