With the rapid development of coal industry, the information of mine companies are rapidly increasing, while the traditional management model of mine information has lagged behind the requirements of productive forces, so advanced information technology are urgent to use for the management of mining. More and more new technology are applied to mining operations in modern time, especially the application of MGIS, which provide a visualization and strong decision for management, design, planning of mining, it is also the important part of "Digital Mine". The whole system of "Digital Mine" requires three-dimensional characteristics, using three-dimensional modeling and visualization technology to providing decision support for mine companies, such as overall planning of mine area, ecological rehabilitation, sustainable mining, design mine laneway excavation, mine production management and mitigation and provide decision support for rescuing disaster and reducing disaster of mining. Laneway is one of the main spatial data of the MGIS system, it is the lifeblood of the system and a major coal mine production system components, laneway is the main site for underground work, transport, ventilation and drainage.Domestic and international status of three-dimensional visualization of laneway was researched in this paper, a appropriate algorithm of establishing model of laneway was designed based on coal mining engineering map.In this paper, Firstly, calculate the value of coordinates of left and right point of the end of laneway. Then calculated the point value of the section. Finaly, connected the point with both section of two ends to form each side of the laneway, while also establishing model at the intersection,and put texture on each side of laneway then the 3D laneway will looks with highly realistic. GIS platform is proposed to establishing three-dimensional visualization system of laneway based on analyzing the method of establishing three-dimensional GIS in this paper. Finally adopted the ArcGIS platform software and combined with three-dimensional modeling software to create three-dimensional visualization system of mine laneway, the data generated in this system can also be compatible with existing GIS platform and this also facilitates mine data sharing and dissemination. In this system conducted a more detailed modeling within the laneway,and a series of useful functions was developed, such as, three-dimensional roaming, dynamic simulation, distance measurement, label of 3D space, add and delete the device models, query information, network analysis of laneway and visualization of ventilation information. It provides a visual platform for the design of coal mine laneway, equipment management, auxiliary aid decision-making and staff training, and it also provides a feasible methods and ideas for construction of three-dimensional information system of mine.
