In recent years GIS has been widely used in the mining and management of coal.The establishment technology of three-dimensional model for the mine is maturegradually, and it can not only make the mine visualization, but also provide richinformation than two-dimensional plane figure. Although ArcGIS don’t have a completeset of three-dimensional to mine design, it has the function that includesthree-dimensional visualization, grade calculation, calculation of reserves, spatialattribute query and analysis and other functions. As one of the secondary developmentof the world’s largest platform, ArcGIS will have a very big development space aimingat the demand of the digital mine.The paper uses ArcGIS as modeling platform in HanDaGai forest farm coal mine.The original topographic map data is generated in the software platform of MapGIS,and then stratifies geological graphics, digitizes the separated layer using R2V software,finally saves as format of shp of digital graphics which can be identified by ArcGISsoftware. TIN model is setting up in ArcScene module using its contour properties, theninterpolates to its internal, so generates surface model of DEM, analyze the space (slopemining shadow, curvature analysis, slope aspect analysis, etc.) using DEM raster image.In the process of building geological model, database which is based on the spacecoordinate system is setting up on the basis of space parameters about exploration dataand drilling data, surface model of each formation is established by interpolation, orebody to the surface models is constructed using the basic principle of tri-prism model.Finally the grade of TFe, MFe and Cu ore bodies in C2are estimated according to theaverage drilling grade of high magnetic anomaly zone in C2, using ordinary kriginginterpolation, on the basis of exploring geological statistics.Three-dimensional visualization model plays a crucial role to the production inHanDaGai forest farm coal mine, and also has great help to the safety of the mineproduction. It has certain error to predict formation using an interpolation method to the grade estimation in this article, but the error is in the scope of the permitting. Theestablishment three-dimensional model can make the mine visualization, make the spaceproperties information more intuitive, and at the same time it can provide the basis forthe production decision-making and mine design.
