Research On Matrix Material Of The New Paper-cut

Paper-cut is a traditional folk art in China. This paper described the art style features of paper-cut under its historical and cultural background, and introduced the production steps, tools and materials, the classification and preservation methods of paper-cut. On the base of that, this paper analyzed that the red paper which is usually used for paper-cut material has many shortcomings. For example, it was easy to fade, wear, brittle and mildew. And the preservation methods of the red paper are very complex.In order to find a new paper-cut material, this study analyzed the taper-making technology, the structure and properties of paper. Because the nonwoven have excellent performance and their technology and raw materials are similar to paper, nonwoven can be used as a new paper-cut material. Compared the fastness and exterior shape retention of cotton Spun laced nonwoven and SMS nonwoven with red paper, we can know that nonwoven has better performances than red paper, such as tensile strength, tear strength, bursting strength, wear resistance, rigid flexible, drape, anti-crease, etc. So, using nonwoven as a new paper-cut material is feasible.Based on the research of the new materials and new processing technology of paper-cutting, combined SMS nonwoven production, computer-aided system, and laser engraving technology, a comprehensive new paper cutting processing system can be got. Using the nonwoven which have good performance as paper-cut materials and combining new method of paper-cut can provide better basis and guarantee for protecting the folk arts and carrying forward the traditional culture of Chinese.
