With the medium/high density fiberboard in furniture industry and home decoration industry more and more widely, the fine fiber flame retardant and mildew performance has become an important research topic. Brominated flame retardants are the traditional fire retardant. The secondary pollution occurred by toxic gases and heavy smoke while burning. With awareness of environmental protection and flame retardant laws sound, flame retardant with low smoke is getting moved under the direction of low toxicity and high heat resistance. Inorganic flame retardants have attracted attention for it did not produce toxic gases. Uric acid salt of melamine and ammonium polyphosphate compounds with nitrogen and phosphorus as an active ingredientcan form the layer on the surface, the carbon layer of insulation will prevent droplet with high efficiency Flame-retardant properties. The use of traditional antibiotics and antifungal agents is restricted for its easy to drain.and low temperature. Modified silicone quaternary ammonium salt has a very good performance and storage stability of the mold.In this paper, the sodium borate was added in the production process of the fiber, ammonium polyphosphate, melamine cyanurate flame retardant and other inorganic flame retardant compound, while adding preservatives to mold silicone quaternary ammonium salt. Inorganic compound flame retardant mildew formula was selected through the experiment. The recipe has good mildew retardant effect and mildew properties were characterized by oxygen index (OI), the vertical combustion, infrared spectroscopy (IR), universal material testing, cone calorimeter (CONE), and other biological culture of flame.The addition of inorganic flame retardant and mildew in the MDF system board process do not change the properties of flame retardant and mildew obvious effect, industrial production is feasible.This experiment screened out by the formula 5,9,11, containing B, P, N, Zn or Sb element, an inorganic compound flame retardant. Formula does not contain halogen, chromium, arsenic and formaldehyde substances which are harmful to the environment, avoiding the pollution of the environment. Good mildew retardant effect will be shown with addition of 5% WT.In this paper, mildew retardant fiberboard used in order to add a variety of environmentally friendly flame retardant inorganic flame retardant and mildew, which is our innovative work.
