In this thesis, a novel photoinitiator benxoyl phenoxy dipheny-liodonium hexafluoro-phosphate was designed and synthesized.the structure characteristics of both radiacl and cationic photoinitiators has more absorption maxima. The synthesis of benxoyl phenyl dipheny-liodonium hexafluorophosphate was researched. The optimal conditions were described, when the mole ratio of 4-phenoxy benzophenone and hydrox (tosyloxy) iodobenzene was 1:1, concentratde sulfuric acid was 2ml, acetic anhydride was 3.55ml, at 60℃for 22h, the average yield was 50.67%. Otherwise the effect of concentration of benxoyl phenoxy dipheny-liodonium hexafluorophosphate on curing velocity of UV curing system was also researched. The result indicated that the curing rate and film function was optimal when photoinitiator reached 3% through the method of gel conversion rate. The novel photoinitiator benxoyl phenoxy dipheny-liodonium hexafluorophosphate was compared with two hybrid photoinitiators, the former is less than the latter in curing rate, but the former is more than the latter in gel conversion rate. The former can replace the latter in commercial production, thereby saving the cost of production.
