The sources characterstics and hazards of Riboflavin production wastewater were generalized in this paper.Riboflavin production wastewater was non-toxicity itself,but its solid pollutant density was high.A lot of density were included in this kind of water,such as biodegradable and difficult biodegradable solids,colloidal material and dissolved impurities.If the wastewater was directly into the water,a lot of DO would be consumed,which caused the water hypoxia and the death of aquatic organisms.At the same time,the water turbidity was increased and the color of water was changed.And the biological breeding habitats were harmed to,which caused by sinked solids in the bottom of the water.Even more,the eutrophication and algae blooms were caused by high phosphate.In addition,the water was stunked by high sulfate,which was decomposed under anaerobic conditions.At the end,the balance of entire water body was destroyed.At present,Riboflavin production enterprises in domestic were not many.Therefore,the studies of the treatment of Riboflavin production wastewater were not many too.But with the increasing demand of riboflavin, the studies of the treatment of Riboflavin production wastewater became more and more important.This study was under the background of immaturity.By combining analysis pharmaceutical wastewater and food fermented wastewater's treatment situation, this paper proposed the treatment technology route of Riboflavin production wastewater.According to the characteristic of water-quality and water-volume of Riboflavin production wastewater which was discharged by A production enterprise in Jiangxi province,the combination treatment method of pretreatment-two phase anaerobic process-SBR- process after decoloring"was researched and explored in this study. It was determined the optimum technological conditions through laboratory bench test. The cultivation of reactor sludge domestication was researched in this study.And the reactor start-up and successful start-up marks, operation and influence factors were analyzed too.Laboratory bench test showed that this combination process operation could effectively deal with the waste water and had good effect on removing organic, suspended solids, ammonia nitrogen, phosphate, sulfate, chromaticity, and after the set of craft the eventually effluent was more transparent and clear. The pollutant concentration of eventually effluent could meet National Emission Standard.For example, the concentration of CODcr was less than 50mg/L, the average concentrationof NH3-N was 8.8 mg/L, PO43- at most of the time was not detected,pH on average was 8.28, the average chromaticity was 18 times.
