FJC (A) series coal flotation machine with jet is an inflatable flotation machine, its core components is air mixing device which has not the rotating components, its work is motivated by supporting the circulating pump. Air mixing device including nozzle, pipes, umbrella-type distributor, spray chamber and suction tube.These parts of structural parameters to the flotation machine on work efficiency has important effect. But before these parameters settings to on-site experience priority, lack of specific theoretical basis. The study of structural parameters of air mixing device to flow injection influence become inevitable in order to understand inflatable mixing device's working principle and find out the more reasonable structure parameters for the device large-scale provide theoretical basis.Through theoretical analysis, model machine test, experimental tank test and particle image velocity slot test (PIV test) as technical support to complete the research. Through the fluid dynamics, computational fluid dynamics calculate air mixing unit each working parameter relation. Use similar principle, designing lab test flotation machine model and model machine working system. By PIV test flow field, analysis of flow field distribution and flow parameters, compare the flow field in different structure parameters. Comparing two short and long pipes working effect in different conditions, according to breathe in quantity and vacuum requirements, ascertain reasonable structure parameters, improve flotation index.This article on air mixing device makes a systematic study. The conclusions are as follows. Air mixing device is classified as a jet device, from the structural characteristics, performance parameters, working principle, internal flow theory analysis it. The mature theory of jet device is applied in air mixing. By PIV test technologies to measure, objective vivid will the internal flow field of air mixing device presenting to the reader. Comparing the flow field in different structure characteristics to provides the basis in optimize and improve air mixing structure parameters.
