Plank tonic sorting technology Appeared in the 19th century, developed very rapidly and has become one of the most important sorting ways in the field of mineral processing. With the increase in degree of mechanization of coal mining, coal of the material coal increases in preparation plants, therefore, flotation operation becomes increasingly important. In order to improve the capacity of slime in coal preparation plant, lower power consumption, enhance economic efficiency and the competitiveness of enterprises, it is necessary to improve the performance of the flotation machine for research. In addition, with the large-scale of coal preparation plant, large-scale flotation machine is also an inevitable trend.Air-agitated flotation machine researched deeply by domestic and foreign scholars is the earliest machines. The FJC series of the jet-type flotation machine is a new kind of flotation device, which has not been researched deeply. At present, scale-up design approach for it is only through experience, and there is no systematic theory. In this paper, through the comparison among jet-type flotation machine with mechanical agitation-type flotation machine and flotation column, a conclusion is made:the operating performance and efficiency of the jet-type flotation machine are both high, and it is full of development prospects. Therefore, the study of the movement state of the fluid in jet flotation machine is of great significance to its large-scale and improving its structure.This is the first time that the computer numerical simulation method has been applied to jet-type flotation machine research. This paper firstly analyzes the jet flotation machine works, and according to the fluid jet flotation machine dynamics proposes the design principles of FJC20 flotation machine model. From the two aspects in the structure and dynamics I have studied the shrink method of inflatable agitated flotation machines and determined that the reduced factor of the structural parameters is the ratio of tank size and model size:0.1. Secondly, based on the theory of professional dressing, using fluid dynamics and similarity simulation theory, I made analysis in fluid motion in the flotation tank and designed fluid motion parameters. Finally, using advanced PIV testing techniques I tested the fluid measurement in the model machine and obtained the parameters of fluid motion, then I scientifically summed up the jet flotation machine groove box mechanism and modeling hydrodynamic similarity criterion. Through basic theoretical research, sorting process and device structure of the jet flotation have been improved, which provides a frame for the rational design of flotation machines, select the pump parameters and guiding the operation of jet-type flotation machine.The research in theory, simulation and experiment show that the characteristics of fluid motion in the tank of the FJC series of coal flotation machines is correct.
