The frequency converter is a proven product with high and new technology, which has been widely used in production operation and plays a more important role. After the primary transportation system has been updated with the frequency converter drive, the VFD conveyor has shown the unique characters, such as higher equipment availability, higher reliability, lower failure rate and lower maintenance cost, and discard the disadvantage of fixed speed on other non-VFD conveyor.Based on the primary transportation system in one coal mine of Shenhua Shendong Coal Corp. Ltd., this dissertation studied on the colliery automation control system and internal control system of the VFD conveyor, and the unevenly production of the coal mine, namely the amount of coal on the belt vary all the time during the whole production shift. Then engineered the new control software with self identifying the amount of coal on the belt and the belt conveyor could be operated under the automatic energy-saving mode, fully demonstrating the high reliability and safe energy-saving operation.The above mentioned control software, which based on the Fuzzy control theory with the work-outed decision-making chart, has improved the control accuracy of the VFD conveyor.The control system has been applied in the transportation system in Shendong Coal Cor. Group. Up to now, it has met the requirement of the daily operation with automatic energy-saving mode. And the control software will be utilized on other coal mine within Shendong Coal. This dissertation's study has meaningful impact on social and economic aspects with regard to the national advocating on the energy-saving and emission-reducing.
