By a single factor test and orthogonal test, the paper takes bamboo timber and Taun as base material to study on the clear decorate process of melamine, using 3 different process:painting melamine, veneering melamine impregnated paper, mixing of painting and veneering. Research focus on discussing hot-pressing time, pressure, temperature and glue spreading content on the surface quality, measuring surface appearance, surface roughness, adhesion and resistance of surface coatings. The conclusions are as follow:(1)The clear decorate process of painting melamine, when Best process of bamboo timber:hot-pressing time was 50s, pressure was 1.5MPa, temperature was 150℃and the glue spreading amount was 150g/m2. Best process of Tuan: hot-pressing time was 60s, pressure was 1.5MPa, temperature was 160℃and the glue spreading amount was 150g/m2. The glue spreading amount was above the 140g/m2, surface effects were preferable.Adhesion of surface coatings in level 2, local coating was worn out when in 200 turn.(2)The clear decorate process of veneering melamine impregnated paper, best process of bamboo timber:hot-pressing time was 40s, pressure was 1.0MPa, temperature was 140℃. The hot-pressing temperature and pressure was important to the surface quality. Adhesion of surface coatings in level 1, local coating was slightly worn out when in 1000 turn. This process demanded higher for base material, and the material of large pore was not suitable, but Taun can eliminate the impact of the base material.(3)The clear decorate process of painting melamine and veneering melamine impregnated paper, Best process of bamboo timber:hot-pressing time was 60s, pressure was 1.5MPa, temperature was 140℃and the glue spreading amount was 160g/m2. When hot-Pressing temperature was 160℃, the surface of the specimen was easily cracked and carbonized. Hot-pressing temperature, pressure and the glue spreading amount was important to surface appearance, hot-pressing temperature was important to adhesion and resistance of surface coatings.
