In recent ten years, novel artificial electromagnetic material become a new research hot topic. With the development of periodic open loop and metal structure material, researchers study various novel artificial electromagnetic materials theoretically and experimentally . The functional device based on these materials also have fast development. With the development of researchment, these specific materials will be widely used in more and more devices. Three main aspects of this paper are as follows:First , this paper introduces the basic knowledge of conformal mapping. Using the conformal mapping to solve the openings capacitance. Using the definition to solve open loop inductance. Set different sizes of open ring structure. Comparing the resonance frequency of simulation and theoretical calculation, result shows that the results of theoretical calculation are correct and reliable. Then changing the width and the length of structure, watch how two structure size influence resonance frequency.Then, From the formula of one open ring, structure calculation formula of the double loop resonance frequency. Comparing the resonance frequency of simulation and theoretical calculation, result shows that the results of theoretical calculation can correctly reflect how the size of the structure influence the resonant frequency.Finally, Theoretically derivate dielectric constant formula of periodic metal line and magnetic conductivity formula of periodic open ring. Using parameters extraction method to get dielectric constant and magnetic conductivity of composite structure. Change width of openings and observe changes of dielectric constant zero frequency from the dielectric constant curve.
