Silane treatment process as a substitute for traditional phosphating process in the metal surface pre-treatment technology is increasing the wide attention of people. Silane treatment technology is a new surface treatment technology on metal or non-metal materials with organosilanes as the main raw materials. Compared with the traditional phosphating process, silane treatment has the following advantages: firstly, without heavy metal ions and phosphate, no sludge; secondly, no surface adjustment, short treatment time, thirdly, no heating,, simple control.In this thesis,consulting the relative literates and experiment data in laboratory and following the fundament of advanced technology, reliable craft, rational economy and optimal system,the design aimed at the resolvation of the problem of of the production technology and equipment in metal surface pre-treatment phosphating process, Fisrtly, according to the experiment data in laboratory, the technological process and the optimal condition of the process was determined. pre-degreasing(60℃,5min), degreasing(60℃,5min), one time washing(20℃,1min), two time washing(20℃,1min), three time washing(20℃,1min). Then,the technological design of the annual treatment capacity of 5,000,000 m2 steel surface areas was put up according to the definite technological process: based on the treatment capacity of 714 m2/h, the material balance and the heat balance were caculated for the mian units. For example, dipping tank and drying room. And the dipping tank and drying room were designed ,the auxiliary equipments were selected. According to the material properties and the condition in operating, this dissertation also selected the materials and the specifications of equipment.Based on the above technological calculation and design, some construction documents were drawn with the chemical software Auto CAD. For example, technological proeess drawing with control point, assembly drawing of the major equipment, plant layout drawing. At last, the equipment investment was estimated, the cost estimates also was calculated. And compared with the traditional phosphating process, the tech-economy assessment was completed, according to the result of the tech-economy assessment, using the silane treatment process to treat one square meters of steel surface, the cost can save at least 0.10 yuan/m2. and the silane treatment process has a good environmental benefits. This is to show that the design was feasible.
