An analytical method was developed and optimized for the simultaneousextraction and determination of four tetracyclines in soil and vegetable shoot and rootusing solid phase extraction and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry.The recoveries and relative standard deviations for the four tetracyclines was63.14%and10.25%for OTC,98.6%and2.46%for TC,78.67%and3.64%for CTC,67.1%and6.33%for DC in vegetable and61.64%and3.9%for OTC,85.67%and15.4%for TC,69.89%and12.44%for CTC,56.65%and6.54%for DC in soil,respectively.Pot-culture experiments were carried out to study variety difference oftetracyclines accumulation and translocation in14brassica cultivars, which aimed toscreen out brassica cultivars with low tetracyclines accumulation. Results showedthere were not phytotoxity effects on the brassica cultivars under the treatedconcentration of tetracyclines,otherwise growth promotion was observed to someextent based on the biomass and plant height. Based on tetracyclines concentration inthe edible parts, the Guangdongtexuansijiu was considered as the potential brassicacultivar with low accumulation of tetracyclines,while the Baishun811, Youqingsijiuand70tianyouqing were selected as the potential brassica cultivar with lowaccumulation of tetracyclines.
