Hevea brasiliensis is a type of economic trees. Rubberwood is rich of sugars, starch, andprotein; as a result, it can be easily infected by mould and sapstain fungi. This article aims atsolve the problem of sapstain and mould infection. The vacuum-pressure treatment of rubberwood is discussed in this article. And we evaluatethe effect of the method (vacuum-pressure) in the preservative-treated process by orthogonalexperiment. The article also discuss the process of anti-mold treat of rubberwood on the surfacethrough orthogonal experiment and evaluate the ability of anti-mold of the process. We alsodiscuss the drying schedule of rubberwood according to the red discoloration of rubberwood.Furthermore, the effect of the method (vacuum-pressure in the preservative-treated processof rubberwood) in the factory is discussed in this article and we obtain the reasonablevacuum-pressure in the preservative-treated process of3.5cm and5.5cm thick rubberwoodlumber. The result indicates that preservative concentration is the main factors influence thewood preservative retention. As the thickness of the lumber increases, the pressure also plays animportant part in the wood preservative retention. However, the traditional method can prick thediscoloration of rubberwood.By orthogonal experiment the effect of prevention of mould by daubing the mouldpreventive on the surface of the rubberwood lumber are discussed in this article. The resultindicates that MC(moisture content) of the specimen and the concentration of the mouldpreventive are the main factors of the prevention of mould infection. The rubberwood lumber canescape from mould infection when the concentration of the mould preventive is higher than2%and the MC (moisture content) of the lumber is lower than12%,The experiment of the chemical analysis of color composition of Rubberwood shows that thecomposition of discoloration contains some occurring and helping color groups such ascarboxyl, unsaturated linkage and hydroxyl. The titration of chemical reagents shows that colorcomposition has Tannic and Anthraquinone. And5%concentration of sodium bisulfate liquor canhelp reduce rubberwood discoloration. The research of the drying schedule of rubberwood shows that dipping5%sodium bisulfatefor6hours after100℃water digesting for3hours can keep rubberwood's color during lowtemperature(50℃) kiln drying. The aberration is15-20unit low than traditional processingmethod and the discoloration is caused by tannins and protease.
