Rectorite has vertical expansion, ion exchange, adsorption, hydrophilic and other physical and chemical properties. These excellent physical and chemical properties of rectorite make it be widely used. However, these properties of rectorite can not satisfy on the needs of industrial applications. In order to take advantage of these properties, researchers have done a lot of rectorite modified research and exploration. One the one hand, inorganic pillared modification can effectively increase the pore volume, surface area, improve the absorption; on the other hand It also can introduct semiconductor materials with other properties, so this paper has study on inorganic pillared rectorite.Through calculative simulation, we had know that, oxide pillared layered minerals can improve the physical and chemical properties of rectorite. Through study on n-type semiconductor TiO2 with excellent physical and chemical properties, we found that, the optical activity of rutile TiO2 is highest. However, rutile TiO2 under UV light was only good optical activity and photoinduced electrons and electronic-hole more likely to composite. Doping is a better means of changing the effective wavelength range of photoelectricity activity. rare earth has rich energy levels. It can expand the absorption wavelength range, at the base of a good photoelectric activity. And electron - hole pairs of rare earth doped TiO2 is more susceptible to get back together. For this, This paper had studied on simulation and experimental of rare earth doped TiO2, and determine La, Ce as the rare earth dopants, through the analysis of rectorite, we can draw that, Na+ exchanged rectorite is good for loading metal.This paper by changing the Ti-pillared rectorite acid used during the preparation, reflux time and other conditions to get processing technology of Ti pillared rectorite. Rare earth doped TiO2 pillared rectorite loading metalloid element is characterized by X-ray diffraction, infrared, etc. Form this we derived the preparation of rare earth metal doped TiO2 pillared rectorite loading metalloid element. This provides a theoretical and experimental basis for the pillared experiment.
