Computer-aided Engineering (CAE) provides scientific techniques and methods for engineers to develop high-quality products, thus it has broad application in industry. However, current CAE and CAD systems are mutually independent, which lead to several problems, such as precision loss and low efficiency during the transformation between CAD and CAE models. Nowadays, seamless integration of CAE and CAD software becomes a hot research topic in both CAE and CAD fields because it can be an effective way to avoid the defects mentioned above. Developed by the State Key Lab of Materials Processing and Die & Mold Technology of Huazhong University of Science & Technology, HSCAE is a commercial software which is highly qualified in simulating plastic injection molding process. This paper mainly focuses on the research of integration of HSCAE based on Unigraphics (UG).This paper analyzes the overall structure of injection molding simulation integration system, and implements the functional design of the pre-treatment, numerical analysis and post-treatment modules of the integration system.The Filling system is an important component of the injection molding simulation system. This paper implements the design of the Filling system in the injection molding simulation integration system. Complete parameterized design of the Filling system can be reached by using the powerful secondary development interface and parametric correlated technologies provided by UG, which makes it easily to design, analyze and redesign runner. This paper also presents a detailed analysis of the design flow of the Filling system, and the core technologies related to the extraction data in both the geometric model and CAE model of runner.The Task Manager is a tool which is specialized in analyzing scheme data. After completing the design of schemes, users need to submit the completed scheme data to the Task Manager. This paper details the design of the overall structure and key technologies of the Task Manager. Finally, the design of a real product using the implemented injection molding simulation integration system was presented.
