In this dissertation, we use the novel type polyaza-complexes as research objects, focusing on the synthesis, characterization and property of them.Four novel complexes were synthesized:[CuL12](ClO4)2 1, [NiL2] (ClO4 ) 2, [CuZnL4] (OAC) (ClO4) 3,[Cu2L5] (ClO4)2 4 , where L1 is a new polyamine ligand and characterized by 1HNMR. The polynitrogen macrocylic complexes are also researched, two dinuclear complexes [CuZnL4] (OAC) (ClO4) 3,[Cu2L5] (ClO4)2 4have been synthesized by a new intermediate ligand H2L. These complexes were characterized by element analyses, IR, UV-Vis, ES-MS, and X-ray diffractions techniques. The electro-chemistry characterizations of the complexes have been studied by recording the cyclic voltammograms. The cleavage reactions of DNA with complexes, phosphatase-like activity, SOD and antibacterial activities have been also investigated.1. A new mononuclear copper(II) complex, [CuL12](ClO4)2, was synthesized and characterized by IR, element analysis and X-ray crystallography, where L1 = N, N'-bis(2'-aminoethyl) -2-furylmethylamine. The coordination sphere around Cu(II) can be described as slightly distorted octahedralThe basal plane is composed of four nitrogen atoms from two L1 units, and the apical positions are occupied by two oxygen atoms from two perchlorate anions。The effects of the concentration, incubation time with DNA as well as the radical scavengers on the DNA cleavage activities of the complex were also investigated.2. A new intermediate ligand: N, N'-dimethylene benzene-N, N'-bis (3-formyl -5-- Bromosalicylaldehyde) ethylenediamine (H2L3) has been synthesized, and it's structure has been determined by 1HNMR. Two new dinuclear complexes of N(amine)2N(imine)2O2-type macrocycles [CuZnL4] (OAC) (ClO4) 3,[Cu2L5] (ClO4)2 4have been synthesized and characterized, X-ray crystallography analyses show that two complexes are dinuclear complexes, Their molecular structures are centro-symmetric in which the center point is located at the middle of two metal ions.3. Complexes1 and 2 can accelerated hydrolysis of NA,especially Complexes1 can increase the rate of hydrolysis, with a good catalytic activity. The SOD-like activity of the complex 4 were also researched both of the complex show the good activity. The two dinuclear copper complexes 3 ,4 have antibiotic activities for Escherichia coli.4. The interactions Between complex and DNA has been studied, the way of DNA binding between the CT-DNA and the complexes have been determined by the experiments.The results of gel electrophoretic separations of plasmid pBR322DNA induced by the complex 1, 2 were shown that complex 1 revealed good activity binding with DNA as binuclear Cu complexes.
