In recent years, traditional metal mine is evolving into digital metal mine, which contains a closed loop control system based on signals and feedback and makes the productive management deeply depend on data from work sites. As the artery of the metal mine, the train transportation system takes the highest effective coefficient in the productive process. The traditional transportation system can not satisfy the new needs of construction of digital metal mine. As the newly emerging identification technology, Radio frequency identification (RFID) takes the advantages as follow:non-contact identification, range up to 10 meters, resistant from pollution, longer lifetime. RFID can be taken as the key to the construction of digital mine. However, up to now, it is not widely used in metal mine because of the complicate physic environment and plenty interference sources.According to those reasons above, after consulting literatures about RFID and train transportation system in mine, this paper is based on the project of monitoring and controlling system of train transportation and data communication in metal mine, which sponsored by a large-scale metallurgical enterprise in Yunnan province. This paper discusses physic characters of metal mine, the way of power transmit of 2.45GHz RFID system and provides a new design for a train transportation monitoring and controlling system in 1800 tunnel based on RFID. Compare to the traditional monitoring and controlling system, the new one described in this paper not only executes the transportation control, but also can upload data from work site though RFID, which provides reference for mine management.The design work includes hardware and software of RFID, control logic, network structure and communication program, HMI. RFID reader and tag are created on the basis of micro computer unit AT89S52. Control system is designed as a decentralized filed bus control system with SIEMENS S7-300 PLC. Human Machine Interface is designed by kingview 6.53. Though the combination of PLC and HMI, system achieves the function of normal or abnormal monitor, online diagnose and bypass control. System has strong data acquire ability, by which data from RFID can be get easily.Consequences show that this system is not only suit for metal mine, but also can be extend to other industrial fields.
