Urban Furniture Design In Environmental Art System

As an auxiliary facility of urban construction and an inevitable part of Chinese urbanization construction, urban furniture plays a more and more important role in our lives. But the present situation of urban furniture is mingled hope and fear. There is not enough systematic management and operation, the design market is in chaos; the government, design organization and the public all lack the understanding of urban furniture, they see it as a "necessary" condition of city equipment, thus the good and bad are intermingled in urban furniture design; these are what we fear. What we hope are as follows: some relevant people have emphasized urban furniture already, and learn from well developed countries, such as Europe and USA, to apply to Chinese urbanization construction; some other relevant people are doing theoretical research and practical application for urban furniture specifically. But all previous research and application were from one independent point, involved various fields, thus there are limits. This topic analyzed urban furniture design from the angle of environment art system to point out relevant problems, find out relevant theoretical evidence, attempting to apply theory to the practice of urban furniture, and then promote theory. The aim is how to upgrade urban furniture, transform urban furniture from current rough type to pursuing taste, and how to manage and operate urban furniture systematically. We also analyzed relevant cases and urban furniture items systematically.As one important part of urban construction,urban furniture didn't get enough cognition and concern, which was caused by the following two reasons: the first one is the influence of economic benefits; the second one is there wasn't one clear cognition to the function of urban furniture and the optimization of urban furniture design. This topic aims at combing the conceptions, objectives, classifications, laws and so on of urban furniture to seek out a definite way to solve the problems in current urban furniture, advance urban furniture. We analyzed and elaborated problems, revealed inherent relationship and difference by systematic methodology. Then, we compared urban furniture from abroad and domestic by literature, comparation and induction to conclude and induce the reasons of urban furniture's problems. Modern urban furniture design isn't in some new special prototype stage. The research contents and innovative points are concluded as:the first one is to guide relevant people out of linear thinking mode, and design urban furniture by multidimensional thinking mode. The second one is to find out the method and principle of promoting "urban furniture". Urban furniture is concentrated and applied to cities, which is the important element of modern urban environment. Urban furniture serves for people in cities and influences people's work and lives. The third one is to operate and safeguard urban furniture. The fourth one is to apply theory of urban furniture to environment system, and then promote the theory. The fifth one and the last one is to promote the cognition of urban furniture to a certain height.
