Organometallic chemistry plays an important role in catalytic, organic, green, medical and material chemistry and may be one of the most efficient methodlogy. The interest in the development of highly efficient and selective catalytic reactions has increased significantly in recent years due to their numerous environmental advantages versus conventional chemical synthesis. Hence, design, synthesis and application of organometallic compounds have attracted much attention for a long time. In this work, we dealed with synthesis of new zinc dithiocarbamate and zinc guanidinates from the insertion reaction of zinc amides to carbon bisulfide or carbodiimide respectively. Cyclotrimerization of a variety of isocyanates to isocyanurates catalyzed by alkaline metal amides were also researched. The details of this paper are as following:Chapter 1. The background and significance of the research work were introduced. The main contents include (1) new Zn-N bond or Zn-S bond formation via polar small molecules insertion reactions; (2) progress of catalysts for isocyanates cylclotrimerization to isocyanurates.Chapter 2. Zinc dithiocarbamate [Zn(C7H14NS2)2]2 (2a) and zinc guanidinate [{C5H10NC(NC6H11)2Zn}2(μ-{C5H10NC(NC6H11)2}2)(μ-NC5H10)] (2b), [{C5H10NC(NC6H11)2}ZnEt]2 (2c), [{(C2H5)2NC(NC6H11)2}ZnEt]2 (2d), [Zn{Et2NC(NCy)2}2] (2e) and [{Bz2NC(NC6H11)2Zn}2(μ-{Bz2NC(NC6H11)2}2)(μ-NBz2)] (Bz=PhCH2) (2f) were prepared and structurally characterized by 1H NMR,13C NMR and X-ray single diffraction analysis.Chapter 3. A substantial variety of secondary lithium, sodium and potassium amides were used as catalysts for the trimerization of isocyanates. In conclution, lithium dibenzylamide catalyzed the rapid and essentially quantitative cyclotrimerization of a variety of isocyanates to isocyanurates under mild conditions and could be recycled for 6 times in high yield.
