Synthesis And Application Of Bolaform Surfactants

Bolaform surfactants are the amphiphilic compounds which are composed of two hydrophilic polar groups with one hydrophobic chain or more,and its special structure and properties are used in many fields.But there were minor researches on the application and its basic theory in the textile printing and dyeing areas.In this paper,three Bolaform surfactants(DCPS2-8,DCPS2-10 and DCPS2-12)were synthesized and were verified by IR and HNMR.The interaction between the Bolaform surfactant and different kinds of dye was studied, and the influence of Bolaform surfactant on the dyeing dynamics and thermal of cationic dye were also investigated.The application of Bolaform surfactant on the cationic Dyes dyeing acrylic fiber was researched.By these basic researches,the results showed:there was certain interations between the Bolaform surfactants and different dyes.These changes varied with the different dyes which mainly displayed in absorbency change and the displacement of the maximum absorption wavelength.With the increasing of the concentration of Bolaform surfactants,there was also a certain trend of change in the dye absorbance of different dyes. The change of temperature had great impaction on the absorbency of mixed solution which included acid dyes and Bolaform surfactants.And there also were some displacement in the maximum absorption wavelength of dyes.Bolaform surfactants had obvious retarding effect which decreased the dyeing rate of Cationic Red X-GRL on acrylic. In the presence of the Bolaform surfactant,the equilibrium adsorption amount and the dyeing rate constant of Cationic Red X-GRL were reduced. In several conditions,with the increasing temperature, the dyeing rate constant and the equilibrium adsorption amount of Cationic Red X-GRL were increased.The Langmuir saturation adsorption decreased because of the adsorption of the Bolaform surfactants on Cationic Red X-GRL;and the influence of the three Bolaform surfactants on the adsorption constant(KL and aL)were almost the same,there was a significant decrease.With and without Bolaform surfactants,the asturation adsortion value and Langmuir adsorption constant were increased by the increasing temperture. The three Bloaform surfactants (DCPS2-8,DCPS2-10 and DCPS2-12) had obvious retarding effects on dyeing with cationic dyes on acrylic fiber.Three Bolaform surfactants retarding effects were: DCPS2-12﹥DCPS2-10﹥DCPS2-8. The retarding effect on the cationic dye was more apparent along with the increasing amount of Bolaform surfactants.
