Static resistance strain gauge of mining roof bolt is a secondary instrument to measure the stress of support structures, including roof bolt and anchor rods. Bolt-cable anchor support is an effective support method. But the large range inbreak and sudden occurring threaten miners and normal production of coal mine. Mining strain gauges used now are almost fixed, which are expensive and complex to short laneways or soon exploited laneways. A portable static resistance strain gauge of mining roof bolt is designed in this paper, which is accurate and easy to reinforce in time. And reinforcement measures are taken to improve the stability and safety of support structures.The design of static resistance strain gauge of mining roof bolt includes hardware design, software design and laboratory experiment. Electronic program-controlled switching technology, precision instrumentation amplifier and advanced low-frequency filtering are used in hardware design to process while LCD is chosen to show the result in Chinese. Input capture function, CTC and I2C of AVR16 are used in programmable logic controller, while LabVIEW is also used to design a friendly and simplified human-computer interface in the software. Besides that, laboratory experiment of the static resistance strain gauge is done to prove high precision and high stability of the strain gauge.The successful design of static resistance strain gauge provides data support for the mine laneway workers and reinforce the coal laneway in time. It plays a great part to low the probability of roof accident and improve safety of coal mine. It creates vast economic and social efficiency to achieve high yield and high efficiency and to.
