Most surrounding rocks in coal roadway belong to layered or massive structure with low intensity, joint fissures, and poor integrity; influenced by many project environmental factors simultaneously, it becomes a difficult problem more and more that how to control and support the surrounding rock for production and safety in coal mine.Based on gate-way roadway of 2303 mining face in Jinqiao colliery, the deformation law and supporting technique of coal roadway are analyzed systematically by the means of theoretical analysis, in-situ monitoring and numerical simulation. The main content and conclusions are as follows:(1) Deformation mechanism of whole coal roadway and primary factors were analyzed by theoretical mean. The deformation of whole coal roadway was affected by surrounding rock properties, geological condition, ground stress, project influence and other factors. Patters were different that abscission layer, squeeze flow or shearing slip of roof deformation happened and slip plane was caused by force of compression shear in working slope.(2) Based on geological mechanical properties in coal roadway surrounding rock, the paper has studied the characteristic of stress distribution and the mechanism that support influence roadway surrounding rock stability, and discussed on the rule of deformation and destruction of coal roadway surrounding rock.(3) After considered dynamic pressure, general engineering condition and experience of practice, the combine supporting design scheme of Anchor and Cables was ascertained and the basic parameters are designed for gate-way roadway of 2303 mining face.(4) Utilizing numerical simulation analysis, the paper has researched the stress and deformation distribution rule under supporting and non-supporting roadway surrounding rock, and researched the relation between deformation of coal roadway and location of mining face. With deformation and distance between roadway cross-section and mining face, the gate-way roadway divides into three sections. They are little deformation, middle deformation, large deformation, the suggestions was used that advanced support should be adopted with single hydraulic prop in middle deformation section and large deformation section in order to control rapid deformation of surrounding rock.(5) The monitoring scheme of deformation and mineral pressure was designed in gate-way roadway of 2303 mining face. The results of site construction showed that supporting scheme was reasonable.
