Metallurgical furnace is the important heating equipment in metallurgical enterprises. The structure type,heating process,thermal control method and furnace atmosphere determines directly heated production quality,becoming the important segment of optimizing structure , improving efficiency and reducing consumption in metallurgical enterprises. High temperature air combustion (HTAC) is a new combustion technology born in international combustion field in the 1990s, the technology can use efficiently burning chemical energy and control effectively pollutants emission, Is a technology suitable for application and promotion in our industry. The application of this technology provides a feasible method to ease our energy shortage and improve natural environment.This paper expounds the basic composition, classification of metallurgical furnace and its present development situation, the regenerative combustion technology of basic principle, characteristics and application situation, and basic situation of numerical simulation technology. Then using the pretreatment software to structuralize geometric model and the grid partition, using CFD software to simulate regenerative combustion manner of furnace, using post-processing software to handle the simulate results of text and image of output. Finally through the analysis getting the quantitative relationships among furnace combustion, flow and billet heating.The paper sets up mathematical simulation models of three conditions: burners on the bottom of lateral burn relatively; on the bottom burn upward; interlaced burners on the upper and lower of lateral burn relatively. Simulate analysis gas-solid two-phase physical fields of furnace using the iteration method unsteady. According to simulating, complex thermal process in furnace is reappeared truly such as fuel burning, convective heat radiation, internal heat conduction of billet and gas turbulent flow .Numerical simulation results of a better understanding of furnace thermal process using of HTAC technology., having an important guiding significance on structure and operating parameters optimization in the process of heating. In the meantime, through the forecast of NO X generation during burning process. NO and N2 O component distribution is got. For furnace provides the theory basis for emission effectively...
