The material of the demonstration plant in Shenhua direct coal liquefaction is Shendong coal, This feature will have a greater impact on the choice of coal liquefaction, coal liquefaction performance, liquefaction process and operating conditions. In direct coal liquefaction process of continuous operation, the solvent is mixed oil with middle and heavy oil which generated by direct coal liquefaction, it known as recycle solvent with consisting 2-4 aromatic and hydrogenated aromatic ring.In this experiment, the raw material oil which come from the demonstration plant in Shenhua direct coal liquefaction, have been hydrogenation under different conditions, to examine the nature of the solvent with the changes in reaction temperature with 340℃, 350℃,360℃,370℃,380℃,390℃. After the middle and heavy components mixed by a certain percentage ratio in the hydrogenation of recycle solvent. By the mixed solvent reacted in the laboratory autoclave liquefaction, the coal liquefaction reaction of hydrogen performance was investigated under different solvents. The study found that the hydrogen ability of recycle solvent is highest performance with the reaction process conditions:hydrogenation temperature 380℃, LHSV 1.5h-1, reaction pressure 13.7MPa, gas-liquid ratio of 800 Nm3/t. Finally, we the budget the economic benefits of the coal liquefaction demonstration plant with capacity 5000t dry coal per day, If using the optimal reaction conditions the recycle solvent processing in this experiment result, will allow the economic improvement to be 178 million yuan a year. In the experiment, there is a certain reference value to the recycle solvent hydrogenation process adjustment methods and the optimal process parameter settings for the inertinite coal liquefaction demonstration plant.
