As an important material in refineries, hydrogen resource have been taken more and more attention. How to rational use the hydrogen resource is becoming a new problem that refineries should consider seriously. To optimize the hydrogen network can provide theoretical basis on how to utilize the hydrogen network in a refinery plant, and reduce the cost. Above all, it is of great significant on improving the economic benefit of refineries.The contents of this paper is as follows:Made a detailed investigation on the hydrogen resource and carried out the analysis of hydrogen balance in the refineries been studied. Based on the investigation, the pinch analysis have been carried out. Under designed case the pinch point of the hydrogen network is 92.0%; under operating condition, the pinch point is 84.3%; after CRU 2 went into operation, the pinch is 89.0%.A super-structure of the hydrogen network was made. With the help of software Matlab, a series of optimization have been made. Under operating condition, hydrogen supply of H2 Plant 3 can be reduced to 20453 Nm3/h, by 10.10%; the total hydrogen supply of H2 Plant 2 and H2 Plant 3 can be reduced to 56861 Nm3/h, by 3.88%; the total cost of all 4 hydrogen plant can be reduced to 106379.61 yuan/h, by 2.92%. After CRU 2 went into operation, hydrogen supply of H2 Plant 2 can be reduced to 16750 Nm3/h, by 54.00%; the total cost of all 4 hydrogen plant can be reduced to 85319.27 yuan/h, by 22.81%.
