Parster is a kind of polyester fiber which can be dyed by cationic dyes. Sulfonate group and alkane group are both introduced into its macromolecule chain. Due to the volume effect of the alkane chain on the side, the new ployester's crystallization propertites and glass transition temperature decline. It makes the fiber with ultra soft feel and high pilling resistance, it can be boiling coloured by cationic or disperse dyestuffs under atmospheric pressure. Parster fiber is also a kind of low carbon, environment friendly and energy-saving products, its finishing temperature is far lower than the normal polyester products, so parster fibre is conformed to the present need of energy conservation and emission reduction in domestic. As an upgraded products of existing cationic dyed ployester, it can substitute polyester and acrylic fiber and has a wide use in developing cotton or hair type products.As a new type of modified polyester fiber, at present the development of parster fiber products and the performance study is still in its infancy. So this paper explored the unique properties of parster fiber fully to develop relevant blended yarns and knitted fabrics with soft feel and anti-pilling performance, good ventilation and breathable performance, which will not only provide theoretical basis and guidance to related researchers, but also give the textile factories some references in developing new kinds of parster fabric. The main research content of this thesis are as follows:Firstly, in this paper, parster blended yarns with some other fibers (wool, cashmere, cotton, viscose, silk) were spun through woolen and semi-worsted process according to the products positioning, all the parameters were designed reasonably. Then 7 kinds of blended yarns and 9 pieces of fabrics were developed, also 6 series of contrast group yarns and fabrics were developed. Adjust and improve the spinning process according to the characteristecs of parster fiber and other component materials.Secondly, through a series tests of physical and mechanical properties of parster yarns, including yarn levelness, slub, fine end, hairness and the breaking strength and elongation, the influence of blend materials and fineness on yarn performances were analysised. The results show that pure parster yarn's evenness, breaking strength are better than pure wool yarn, and hairiness index is lower; use parster to replace the nylon, PTT and viscose in contrast group yarns can improve their breaking stength, and also reduce hairiness index.Thirdly,9 kinds of fabrics were developed on a flat knitting machine, and then the properties of them and contrast fabrics were tested, including bursting strength, rigid nature, drape property, breathability, moisture permeability and thermal insulation property. The pilling resistance property of parster blended knitware were tested through martindale equipment and discussed mainly. The result shows that using parster instead of acrylic blended with wool can effectively improve the anti-pilling property; use parster to replace the nylon, PTT and viscose in contrast group yarns can also reduced the pilling degree, at the same time saving the cost.Finally, all of the above wearing properties were made fuzzying comprehensive evaluation to the devoloped 6 pieces of semi-worsted fabrics and the best blending combination was found. The result shows that under the experimental conditions of this paper, the fabric 55WS40PA5CA (28Nm/2, plain) had the best comprehensive wearability,40V30N25PA5CA (28Nm/2, plain) take the second place,70CO20PAlOS (48Nm/2,rib) is the worst.
