Design And Implement Of Pattern Preparation System Based On Knitting Process

Pattern preparation system is the core software of computerized flat knitting machine. The domestic software is imitation of foreign products basically. So it is lack of technical innovation, and it has seriously hampered the development of computerized flat knitting machine industry in China. With the existing knitting process, the study analyses software function from the perspective of knitting process design. Finally, by using modular programming techniques, the study develops a pattern preparation system successfully. The software has independent intellectual property rights.The main function of software is to accomplish pattern design quickly, and generate two pattern description files, which are transmitted to the controller of flat knitting machine. The research topic includes:design control barcodes for setting knitting process parameter, and develop the craft module; put forward split rules of pattern, and achieve conversion from pattern to jacquard, design data structure of control data to generate pattern description files; design data structure of simulation picture and achieve the simulation picture matching, then validate the simulation results.The software has been put into use on the computerized flat knitting machine. And the results show that the software helps improve the efficiency of designing pattern. At the same time, the pattern description files meet the requirements of controller well. The software has good stability and openness.
