N, N-Dimethylformamide (DMF) is a toxic and hazardous pollutant which affects many organ systems such as digestive system, respiratory system and reproductive system, and even may have carcinogenic effects on human body. The questions such as what level of DMF concentrations in the ambient air, what effect of DMF exposure on human health, whether there is relationship between DMFexposure and a certain disease and what health risk it is, still could not be answered. As a result, effective measures could not be taken to reduce human health risk of DMF.In this paper, we chose LongWan of Wenzhou as a research area, where local residents are long-term exposure to DMF conditions in the Ambient air. And we select Yueqing as a control area for that the geographic conditions is similar to LongWan where no DMF in atmosphere. Through to the two area crowd disease situation investigation and analysis of the hospitalization, using disease classification and cases statistical methods, calculation of pathogenic factors DMF for four the influence of the disease. For other confounding factors control analysis, evaluate disease risk and DMF exposure response relationship. Put forward countermeasures for disease prevention and control and the further development of the measures which should be taken.Choose the area in 2008 due to illness be in inpatients crowd as the research object, and study area and collect respectively controlled zone crowd of 3597 and was in inpatients material of 571. The digestive system diseases in inpatients for the largest number of the causes of disease, and the respiratory system inpatients, cancer, angiocardiopathy and liver disease, as follow. Longwan area liver disease, respiratory system, the digestive system disease, the angiocardiopathy and cancer inpatients proportion respectively higher than the controlled areas by 154%,332%, 272%,293% and 19%. In removing the time trend, season, long-term weather confounding factors such as the basis, the number of the pollution and DMF exposure response relation. On smoking, alcohol consumption, gender and age association variables respectively with the four kind of disease cross relations, judge whether the above factors into the crowd the health effects of many factors analysis. Get environment air DMF exposure crowd liver disease, respiratory system, the digestive system disease, the angiocardiopathy and cancer in the increased risk of hospitalization occurs, OR (95% CI) were 1.323 (1.218~1.479),1.419 (1.307~1.572),1.578 (1.205~2.066),1.383 (1.290~1.504) and 1.066 (1.049~1.089), respectively.
