On-line continuous measurement of the gunpowder constituents is the only way leading to continuous and automation of the gunpowder manufacture process. In this thesis, the on-line continuous measurement technology of nitrocellulose(NC), nitroglycerine(NG) and Hexogen (RDX) was studied.For NC measurement, we studied NC pulp concentration,flow rate and pure NC weight.Profits from the papermaking industry,we use microwave concentration meter to measure the concentration of NC pulp.Choose electromagnetic flowmeter to measure the flow rate of NC pulp,because it is not easy to stop up and suit to measure the flow rate of two-phase fluid. PLC used the concentration and flow rate signal to calculate instantaneous pure weight and integrated pure weight of the NC pulp.For NG measurement, because it is sensitive and not suit to be measured independently, we mixed NG with NC,and pass through the fluid energy grinder,then flow through the pure NC weight continuous measurement system. We got the total weight of NC and NG.For RDX measurement, electronic belt scale and electronic nuclear scale were inspected. We found that electronic belt scale is more suitable for RDX on-line measurement in theory.At last,we did experiments in each measuring system.after we met the requirements of total system solid material test run,we started gunpowder continuous feed, continuous measurement, continuous absorption and continuous dehydration commissioning.the modified double base propellant manufactured by this craft conformed to our expectations.
