During the oil exploiting, refining, handling and sales process, a large number of volatile gasoline vapor leaks not only leads environmental pollution, but also has big security risk. The volatile gasoline vapor leaks have attracted the attention of government and society. Therefore, developing efficient gasoline vapor recovery equipment to recover gasoline vapor is necessary for energy conservation and environmental protection. In this work, a new vapor gasoline recovery equipment named high gravity rotary device is proposed, it is also called as Rotating Packed Bed (PRB). It can enhance mass transfer between vapor gasoline and absorbent effectively since it can greatly increase the gas-liquid two-phase contact area.In this work, experiments about recovering gasoline vapor by using home-made Higee-100 were carried out. AbsFOV-97 was used as the vapor gasoline absorbent. The effects of operation conditions such as rotating speed, gas flow rate, liquid flow rate, gas-liquid ratio, gas concentration on the vapor gasoline exhaust concentration and vapor gasoline recovery were studied. Experimental results indicated that the vapor gasoline exhaust concentration decreased with an increase in the rotating speed and liquid flow rate, increased with an increase in the gas flow rate, gas-liquid ratio and inlet gas concentration. The vapor gasoline recovery increased with an increase in the rotating speed and liquid flow rate, decreased with an increase in the gas flow rate, gas-liquid ratio and inlet gas concentration. When the vapor gasoline inlet concentration was higher, the lower gas-liquid ratio is required so that the vapor gasoline exhaust concentration and vapor gasoline recovery meet designated value made by national oil and gas recovery project. When vapor gasoline inlet concentration varied, it was necessary to adjust or control the rotate speed and gas-liquid ratio in order to make the vapor gasoline exhaust concentration and vapor gasoline recovery meet designated value made by national oil and gas recovery project.Absorbent desorption was studied, experimental results showed that the absorbent can be recycled in the absorption-desorption-absorption procedure. The adsorbent can keep its absorption performance after it had been long time used. Experiments on vapor gasoline's solubility in absorbent were carried out. Results indicated that at the same gas concentration and temperature, the vapor gasoline absorption amount per unit mass of absorbent was close to the dissolution equilibrium of vapor gasoline in the absorbent at high pressure when the vapor gasoline was absorbed in the Higee.
