The epoxy resin is used as composite materials, coating and adhesive in many fields of national defense and national economy for the excellent physical properties and chemical properties. As the environmental protection became more and more strict, the waterborne epoxy resin was concerned wildly and became the focus of the research for the lower VOC at present.The purpose of this paper is synthesis a kind of waterborne epoxy resin system with high transparency, high storage stability and high curing properties through a simple and controllable means. In this paper, Add a certain amount of phenolic type epoxy resin F51to flash with three neck, then add some epoxy resin active diluents669to flash with three neck and then stir many minutes, when this two kinds of epoxy resin mix adequately, add a certain amount of two ethanol amine to this epoxy resin system. The two ethanol amine will consume some epoxy groups of the F51, when this process react completely, add some acetic acid to this whole system for acidification, then add some deionized water to dilute this epoxy resin system. After this whole process a kind of waterborne epoxy resin will be prepared. We should control the reaction time, reaction temperature and the ways of add materials very strictly. The amount of two ethanol amine and epoxy resin active diluents669affect the water solubility and curing properties of the waterborne epoxy resin so the important thing of this paper is find out the amount of two ethanol amine and epoxy resin active diluents669to ensure the waterborne epoxy resin has both excellent water solubility and curing properties.In this paper we find out the best reaction temperature65℃and best reaction time2.5h through the means of Acid-base titration at the uniform interface system. After we test the water solubility of the waterborne epoxy resin we find out some laws. When add the amount of the two ethanol amine its water solubility will increase, when add the amount of the669its water solubility will increase firstly then decrease. Under the condition of the amount of the669less than40%of F51 and the active H of the two ethanol amine to the epoxy groups more than1.1:3, we can synthesis the waterborne epoxy resin that can be storage more than9months.We research the tensile performance and the shear performance of the waterborne epoxy resin. The cure agent is three ethylene four amine(TETA) and the cure technology is keep the curing system react6h at room temperature and the keep the curing system react8h at60℃. We find out some laws, add the amount of the669the number of tensile strength and shear strength of the curing system will increase firstly then decrease, when the amount of the669reach to40%of F51, the test value reach to maximum. The elongation at break will increase. When add the amount of the two ethanol amine, the number of tensile strength and shear strength of the curing system will decrease but the elongation at break will increase. After we compare the performance of the three kinds of curing system with TETA, TY-650, D-230respectively. We find out the waterborne epoxy resin curing system has the most excellent performance with agent of D-230. The excellent value of tensile strength reach to59.67MPa, the valve of the shear strength reach to8.49MPa, the elongation at break reach to12.6%.In addition, we research the adhesion, hardness, resistance water performance, water contact angle of the film of the waterborne epoxy resin cure system.
