The five-axis CNC machine tools is a critical foundation of the manufacturing automation,it is the core of modern manufacturing equipment,and the level of CNC equipment ownershipis an important indicator of measuring a country's industrial modernization. Among them, thedouble pendulum angle milling head is the core component of the axis CNC machine tools, andone of the five-axis CNC machine tools market competition, the focus of the accuracy of thedouble pendulum angle milling head determines to a large extent the whole machine accuracy.Therefore, the analysis and key components of optimization become a necessary part of thestructural characteristics of the double pendulum angle milling head.Firstly, this paper analyzes the double pendulum angle milling head experimental platformfor the overall structure and layout, architecture system, five-axis implementation, whilecreating a three-dimensional solid model of the double pendulum angle milling head.Secondly, according to the double pendulum angle milling head structure and layout, the use ofmotion simulation theory, simulation model of double pendulum angle milling head movement,and it impacts on the the double pendulum angle milling head motion and characteristics ofmachining precision. The results show that the cutting force under the action of the electricspindle tool which it faces due to the A axis of the swing speed in the course of the campaignduring the CNC control,which should be taken into account to ensure accuracy.Then, based on the geometric model of the double pendulum angle milling head structure,it should simplify the equivalence principle, according to which, the large complex structureand finite element, finite element model of the A-axis of the swing angle position of the doublependulum angle milling head, and the swing of the A-axis tilt angle of the static characteristicsof the structure, the results show that the cutting force under the action of the main shell due tothe A axis of the swing. There are deformation alternating in order to get assess the millingforce and thermal loads on the double pendulum angle milling head the impact of the whole dynamic performance by the main shell of the structural weaknesses,which decides to improvethe dynamic characteristics of the main shell stiffness in favor of the whole machine. Finally,the structural optimization method applicability and selected principles, and the main shell ofthe key components of the double pendulum angle milling head features a topologyoptimization method for its weight-loss optimized design. Description of the principles andsteps of the topology optimization method, and Solidworks software topology optimizationmodule have been optimized, the gimbal optimization improves stiffness and strength to meetthe design requirements. To improve the characteristics of the whole equipment, the quality ofthe main shell is reduced and the optimize effect is obvious. Finally, this paper make theconclusion of the shortcomings and the future of the final optimal design.
