With the rapid advance of national economy greater and greater demandwas created for plate, which stimulates a rapid pace of the steel enterprises,output capacity and productivity, meanwhile as workpiece processingautomation increases, the requirements for precision of steel plate and fracturesection quality become stricter, especially width and thickness of sheared steelplate increase and mechanical performance of sheared steel material. Therefore,production line of medium steel plate calls for the following features oflarge-scale equipment–rolling cut bilateral shear including more shearingcapacity, high shearing quality, better automation level and higher productionefficiency. Most of edge-cutting machine in China are imported from abroadsuch as SMS, IHI, Danieli, VAI or cooperative production. While, the techniquesprotected by abroad producer, which limits our local production. So it isnecessary for us to research on the bilateral hydraulic rolling shear with self-helpintellectual property.The key technology of bilateral hydraulic rolling shear is electro-hydraulicposition servo control system, whose core component is to use unsymmetricalvalve to control unsymmetrical cylinder. Its dynamic characteristics and stabilitydirectly affect the service performance of the equipment.This passage researches on the shearing principle of the bilateral hydraulicrolling shear, uses ANSYS to simulate the process of steel plate shearing inorder to research the calculation formula of the shear stress and main influencefactors. Base on the working demands of the rolling shear, using theunsymmetrical valve to control unsymmetrical cylinder, building the system'snonlinear equation, analyzing its dynamic characteristics and stability. Researchon the control strategy of bilateral rolling shear's four cylinders, and then designits servo system controller. At last, compares the results of simulation and thepractical data to adjust the parameters of the controller in order to meet therequirement of actual working condition of equipment at the scene.
