The frequency of ultrasonic is very high,usually higher than 20kHz.Ultrasound, similar to electromagnetic wave,can be reflected,refracted and focused.The differences between two kinds of waves is that ultrasonic sound can not be transferred without mediums,but electromagnetic wave can run in the vacuum.When ultrasonic wave run into liquids,it can create cavitation,and make ultrasonic have the very power of cleaning,sterilization and dissolving organic things.So,ultrasonic cleaning is used more and more popularly in various areas.And it has been conformed that ultrasonic cleaning can reduce time,save water,raise effects,make cleaning easer, and also can wipe off dirt which is not removed by other methods.Experts from home and broad think that ultrasound can be used in the Textile and Dying,and prove in theory that ultrasonic cleaning is as effective as common cleaning, just with lower temperature,less water,and shorter time.Hereby,ultrasound can save energy and water,compared to common cleaning.But in recent years there are few reports about the ultrasonic using in textile industry.Therefore,it is very significant to study the ultrasonic using in the Textile and Dying.Firstly,the paper explores the effects of ultrasonic frequency and power to cavitation noise.The results show that noise will lower when ultrasonic frequency rises,and grow when power increase.Therefore ultrasound will have no bad effect to human health if we take the proper condition for cleaning.In order to fully research the ultrasonic applying in the Dying and Finishing,this paper also study the effect of ultrasonic frequency to cleaning with four kinds of different frequencies(28kHz,40kHz,50kHz,60kHz);secondly,it studies the influences of ultrasound to cleaning effects,fabric tensile properties and dyeing fastness with different temperature,time and different power.And also it compare ultrasonic cleaning to common cleaning.The results show that the most proper conditions for ultrasonic cleaning is 40kHz-50kHz for ultrasonic cleaning frequency, 55℃around for ultrasonic cleaning temperature,15-20s for ultrasonic cleaning time, and 0.294w/cm~2 for ultrasonic cleaning power density.Moreover,this paper also researches the influences of ultrasound to the crystallinity,superficial properties of fiber,and also the effect of the ultrasonic power to superficial properties of fiber.It has conform that ultrasound can lower crystallinity of fiber,but very little.And lower frequency is more effective to fiber and fabric tensile properties.The results of this paper prove that ultrasonic cleaning on the proper condition is less effective than common cleaning to the crystallinity of fiber and fabric tensile properties,but the cleaning effects are better.Hereby ultrasonic technology can be used in the process of cleaning in textile and dying so as to save energy,water and raise production efficiency.So ultrasonic cleaning has a splendid future.
