Research Of Spatial Structure Of Oasis City-town Around The Tarim Basin

As a component of space, spatial structure of town should be regarded as a regional projection of a complicated activities involved in human society, economy and culture under specific circumstances, as well as a particular manifestation of a town's functional organization in space. The spatial structure of oasis towns surround Tarim Basin represents features of multi-complex, under the mutual influence of uniquely natural environmental background, oasis economy and its historic development in the western arid area. Based on the relevant theory about basic features of oasis ecosystem, regionally spatial structure and its evolution as well as urban spatial outlay, this thesis does a research on the spatial structure of oasis towns surround Tarim Basin.Firstly, this thesis expounds on the background and significance of selecting this topic and the basic features of the oasis, and considers that towns surround Tarim Basin is an important region for the West Development in China and a vital channel for Xijiang to conduct exchanges with foreign countries. The regional environment in the study area is regarded as an oasis area with vulnerable ecologic system, of the basic ecosystem of environment closed, scattered and depended-water.Secondly, this thesis makes a conclusion about the spatial structure and its evolution features of oasis towns surround Tarim Basin in history. With the analytic methods including grading for towns size, connecting with economy, this thesis makes analysis for the current spatial structure of towns in the study area and considers that current spatial structure of towns represents scattering broadly and tensively assembling, and less connection between cities and oasis, and shows several major factors influencing upon town spatial structure in this study area at different time periods.Finally, This thesis comes into a conclusion about the evlovtion features and mechanism of the spatial structure of oasis towns surround Tarim Basin in terms of oasis waters, transportation systems and resources abundance. Optimizing the spatial structure of oasis towns should be put forward on condition that ecosystem in the study area is guaranteed safely. Relations of towns in study area should be strengthened by the contact and collaboration among oasis towns, which oasis towns should conduct variance development according to different resources endowment and specific communication system, and suggestions and measurements for optimizing the spatial structure of oasis towns are put forward in the terms of points, lines and plane respectively...
