Diameter measurement system in the modern industrial production is widely used for high precision and fast measurement of diameter in the industrial control, industrial production has important application value. Diameter measurement with contact and non-contact two methods. Contact measurement system to measure contact between sensor and measured object, the diameter of the amount into the vertical displacement, low price, easy to implement, but the test is slow, the use of the environment is limited. Non-contact measurement using optical methods to achieve the major, fast, no special requirements on the application environment, so use a wider surface.In this paper, based on linear CCD non-contact diameter measurement system has been systematically studied, mainly for the following work:First, the diameter measurements introduced the background and significance and the development of the status quo; second, describes a non-contact measurement systems theory and key technologies; Third, the data acquisition system hardware design to study the linear array CCD drive and signal acquisition; Fourth, in analyzing the timing characteristics of linear array CCD based on the design of FPGA-based linear array CCD drive and acquisition circuit, collecting the signal with the host computer via USB communication; fifth, was designed based on VC++ in the upper machine linear CCD data reception and processing software, real-time observation by the software can collect data on linear CCD, and complete data storage and processing.According to the need for a linear array CCD based on the diameter of the test implementation. Data processing using the test data processing, and finally gives the diameter of the test results.Based on the actual test results satisfy the design requirements, fundamental to the system's needs.
