Firstly, the developing situation and trend of vehicle weapons at home and abroad are introduced in this paper, then the major components and structural layout of the study object are related.Based on the Classical interior ballistics theory, a mathematics model during the period of interior ballistic and period of after-effect has been established for the gatling gun, then the variation of chamber powder gas pressure during the period of interior ballistic and period of after-effect is gotten by calculating programs written by VB language.Based on Flexible multi-body dynamics, the mount of the weapon system is made into flexible body in this paper, motion simulation of rigid-flexible coupling is done in the simulation software Adams. The affects on the backward force are analyzed by changing the buffering ways between the gun body and mount, the spring stiffness and initial compression when the weapon flatly fires, and the way to reduce backward force is gotten. Then the muzzle vibration law is gotten when the weapon fires by changing bore height and the diameter of trunnion. At last, the change of backward force is analyzed while the weapon high-angle fires.According to Finite element theory, the mount is analyzed in the software Patran and Nastran, while the weapon flatly fires and high-angle fires, to make sure that the mount is strong enough for firing. According to modal analysis theory, the natural frequency of gatling gun weapon system is analyzed while it flatly fires and high-angle fires, to make sure the weapon and the forced oscillation frequency will not occur resonance and the weapon system fires stably.Theoretical guidance for studying current vehicle weapons is provided in this paper.
