Nowadays there are more and more terrorist and riot incidents, the situation of countering terrorism and defending against riots becomes sterner. The counter-terrorism & anti-riot weapon system carried by All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) combines the ATV with the non-fatal grenade launcher; because the ATV is high mobile and of high traffic ability, the weapon system can do rapid reactions to the terrorist and riot incidents and command the urgent requirements.In this thesis, the dynamics characters of the weapon system and the key components were analyzed through Virtual Prototype, also the structures were bettered, they would be helpful to the improving of the weapon system. The primary work of this thesis was as follow:(1) Overall designing of the weapon systemThe composition of the weapon system was introduced from the side of the launching system and ATV, the operation flow was illuminated, and the overall mentality of the dynamics analysis was explained.(2) Modeling of the weapon systemFirstly the geometry models of the launching system and ATV were built independently; then the geometry models were exported into ADAMS, the degrees of freedom were calculated and the constraints were loaded, the dynamics models were built.(3) Multi-body dynamics analyzing of the weapon systemFirstly the multi-body dynamics characters of the launching system and ATV were analyzed independently using ADAMS; then the launching system and ATV were combined together, and the overall dynamics characters were analyzed, the main factors consisted of the pitch angle, the turning angle, the barrel, and the launching mode.(4) Structural dynamics analyzing and improvement of the key componentsAs the key components of the weapon, the Tripod and the link frame were analyzed using ANSYS:The FEA models were built and the constraints were loaded; the static, mode, transient analysis were done; the structures were bettered according to the analysis results.
