SRM (Switched Reluctance Motor, referred to as SRM) has a simple structure and strong, reliable, high efficiency, control, flexible, suitable for high-speed operation and harsh environments, etc., showing a strong market competitiveness. However, SRM stator and rotor of the doubly salient structure and non-linear electromagnetic properties, there is bound to determine the torque ripple in SRM drive system. SRM torque ripple directly affects the output characteristics of drive system, which restricts the application field of the SRM, which makes the SRM torque ripple minimization of a research focus and difficulty.This paper introduce the development and the research focus of SRM, analyzes the basic SRM principle, and discusses its main causes of torque ripple, torque ripple suppression of a variety of control strategies, such as torque distribution function control, torque compensation control, direct torque control, Micro-step control, intelligent control, comprehensive comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of various control strategies, determine the direct torque control based on torque compensation for this program to be used. SRM built in MATLAB/Simulink environment, the nonlinear simulation model is designed. Simulation results show that torque ripple has been significantly reduced. Based on the STM32, the hardware system for SRM angle optimization is designed, respectively in two aspects:power circuit and controller circuit. The main framework of the system software is proposed, and the implementation of several important program modules is analyzed in detail. And the objective of the minimization of torque ripple is realized.In the end, this paper summarizes the results of the experiment, analyses the shortcomings, and outlook the direction and target of the development of he minimization of torque ripple.
