Sheet pile wharf is one of the three main forms of wharf, the advantage of which is simple structure, saving materials, low engineering cost, simple construction, strong adaptability to complex geological conditions, and digging harbor basin after beat sheet pile that can reduce digging and filling. Sheet pile wharf is thin-walled structure, which flexural capacity is low, so the sheet pile wharf is mainly used on middle and small berths. As the wharf structure is to the large-scale and deep-water development, the sheet pile wharf structure is hard to meet demands of increased moment.All-covered type of sheet pile wharf is the independent invention result of china. The invention of this structure makes the sheet pile used in the construction of deep water berth. All-covered type of sheet pile wharf has advantages:It sets a row of barrier piles which can reduce the earth pressure of front wall. There is soil arch between barrier piles. It transfers a part of earth pressure to sheet pile so as to increase the pressure acting on it and reduce the pressure on front wall. However, few research studies are done upon such structure domestically and internationally. According to soil arch action, this paper focuses deep study on force analysis of this structure and determination of barrier pile space, which plays important role in engineering projects.This paper deduces the calculation method apply for the all-covered type of sheet pile wharf according to the characteristic of this structure. And considering the soil arching effect, does stress analysis of the structure. Then based on several reasonable pile spacing classical method to deduce the method of calculating the barrier pile spacing. And it calculates the reasonable barrier pile spacing theory. Then, combined with an engineering example, use the MIDAS/GTS to do finite element analysis. First it compares of the improvement in terms of force and displacement between the all-covered type of sheet pile wharf and the wharf without barrier piles. Then by changing the spacing between the barrier piles and the spacing between the front wall and barrier pile, analysis the structural force characteristics in terms of pile displacement and bending moment. And the analysis results compared with theoretical calculations, checking its feasibility.
