The damage of the earthquake is enormous, while the earthquake is uncertain, it can not be predicted. Therefore, although the current earthquake disaster prevention system works, there are also some insurmountable problems in its passive earthquake resistance method.The isolation techniques as a safe, and applicable, and economical new earthquake resistance system were developed.According to the large shaking table tests presided by Prof. Chen Qinglai of Shandong University, the paper research the re-centring spherical-surfaced sliding isolation bearings and straight steel rod damper,and analyzes the test data comprehensivly concerning the effect of the bearings additional damping on isolating affection, as follows:1. Select the test data, draws up the acceleration time interval chart of various operating modes and compare with them.From the graph we can learn that the insulation effect of the isolation operating modes is very nice,the ability of resistance earthquake is better than the earthquake resistance operating modes.In the isolation operating modes,the insulation effect of the first level (inherent damping of the bearings and 88% additional damping) is much worse than the second level (inherent damping of the bearings and 0% additional damping),while the insulation effect of third level of damping (inherent damping of the bearings and 12% additional damping) is the best of the three level.2. Extractions and analyzes the peak acceleration of various operating modes,and compares the isolation effect of different level of damping in isolation operating modes,and get the better isolation effect.3. In order to avoid the influence on the isolation effect analysis which due to the randomness of the peak acceleration,the paper get the excellent acceleration to compare the isolation effect.Through the above analysis,the paper draws the conclusion:faced with the earthquake, the isolation structure can reduce the earthquake disaster well compared with the resistance structure. At the same time, attaches the appropriate damping in the isolation bearings, can help the isolation bearings absorb and reservr the energy better,and clip the peak of the Seismic force to fill in the valley,reduces the force which is transmitd to the superstructure.and enables the isolation structure to achieve the ideal isolation effect.
