This paper designs cylinder gasket stamping two dimensional suface feature detecting instrument. It is a stylus detecting instrument which is designed based on the current stylus surface roughness measurement system. This paper includes the preliminary design of drive system, capacitive transducer,data acquisition system.In this paper, drive system is designed to use subdividing drive plan and single chip system.Through applying pulse Wavelength Modulation subdividing drive circuit, not only running performance is improved, but also the structure of drive circuit system is made more simple, reliablbe and convenient, so that subdividing drive is realized.In order to improve the precision and range of measurement, capacitive transducer is used in this design. Its coder is also designed with a series of anti-interference measures which improve its operating stability. Virtual instrument technology is also applied for the collection of data, which makes the system more flexible and transplantable.A model machine is produced based on the design of the paper. Error analysis and uncertainty analysis have been done on the prototype. The experimental results of the analyses meet the design requirments.
