Nowadays, with the energy supply increasingly tense and the electricity market opening up gradually, it is extremely important to study the optimizational operation of thermal power. Energy loss analysis which makes optimal operation of thermal power units come true is one of the essentially theoretical works. The accurately determined optimal target guarantees the accuracy of energy loss analysis and becomes a prerequisite for credibility of optimizational guidance of the unit operation. This article further discusses the some meaningful directions and content of this research area.This article condering actual plant operation summarizes the various indicators from qualitative and quota two angles and further perfeced the whole indicator system of the analysis of energy loss in thermal power plant. Proposing a new simple algorithm based on rough sets and making the coal consumption rate as the performance evaluation of units, It proposes calculated model on analysis of energy loss and derives the associated equation which combine the analysis of energy loss indicators with the coal consumption rate. With the intelligent optimization technology, It establishes a model supporting optimization of unit side based on the vector and proposes the methods for determination of algorithm based on the ion swarm optimization of optimization target about the key analysis of energy loss indicators .This paper discusses this methods of realization plan and specific steps. According to this thought, this paper optimize the unit's key analysis of energy loss indicators and have achieved better effect than optimization before.
