Wind power as a renewable, non-polluting energy, has became an important department in the world. Generator is a key component of the wind power system, which affects directly the wind power system. In one hand, Switched Reluctance Generation (SRG) has many advantages, such as simply structure, easy maintenance, and so on, it can be applied to the harsh environments. On the other hand, the wind turbine speed is low, the other generators can be started at low speed, the gear box must be installed between wind turbine and generator, bring back to the system difficult to maintain low loss.The application in wind power of Switched Reluctance Generator (SRG) is studied in this paper. After reading a large number of papers, the advantages of Switched Reluctance Generator as direct drive wind power generator,the results ofdomestic and international ,and research significance is presented. Secondly, the working principle of SRG in the actual running is described, the phase currents of SRG and flux– current is analysised. From the perspective SRG output power maximizing to design parameters and control variables, a fuzzy logic algorithm to suppress voltage fluctuation is presented.Again, in the MATLAB simulation to create SRG model, phase inductance, phase current, phase voltage and position angle of the waveform at different current hysterics loop width have been obtained. Simulate the fuzzy logic algorithm in inhibition of voltage pulse, simulation results show that the scheme is better than the PI control.Finally, of existing power tracking algorithm is analysis, a novel two-stage control algorithm is proposed, when the algorithm is tracking the speed quickly and power at maximum power point of stability is verified in the simulation. In this paper, all simulation researches get desired control results. An experimental platform is set up to verify the control schemes correctly and feasibility and brings some significance practical application.
