Unsaturated moisture takes an important part in the natual water cycle, which promotes the hydraulic connection among atmospheric precipitation.surface water and groundwater. Especialy, to some certain extent, the moisture movement has been affected by the structural alteration in unsaturated zone.Moreover; there are new characteristics in the moisture movement and water transformation in terms of reclamation soil.Based on consulting the theory of moisture migtation and research results from scientific papers at home and abroad, the paper was used methods of theoretical analysis to investigate moisture movement, coupled with the method of simulation test. Then, the device models about soil-fly ash and soil-gangue were designed. Furthermore, the parameters of filling materials and soil were measured, including particles size ratio, saturated hydraulic conductivity, unsaturated hydraulic conductivity. The moisture characteristic curves of soil, fly ash and coal gangue were calibrated with the relationship between matric potential and water content, and moisture capacity and moisturer diffusivity were calculated. In addition, the water infiltration tests were carried out by cylindrical models, and the relationship among wetting front, cumulative infiltration and infiltration time were analyzed. At the same time, the processes of moisture movement in the unsaturated zone were quantitatively described and the influencing factors were analyzed. Moreover, the tests were researched on the discipline of moisture movement and distribution under the conditions of simulating atmospheric precipitation, evaporation, and different groundwater levels by the filling structural models. According to Richards's equation, the mathematical models of filling structural unsaturated moisture movement were created, and the one-dimension vertical moisture movements were respectively simulated under the different conditions by Hydrus-1D software.
