Inland water transportation is the important constituent of the national comprehensive transportation system and the water resources comprehensive utilization. Shiplocks is one of the important river transportation infrastructure, and chamber is the key part of shiplock. So the security and stability of the chamber structure is the assurance of smooth navigation and normal operation.Based on finite element simulation analysis software ANSYS,and taking Fengyi Navigation-Power Junction of Sichuan Jialing River as background, the author established three-dimensional numerical simulation model by using nonlinear finite element method (Contact analysis and Death unit) . The main research contents are as follows:1. To analysis the strain and stress of the chamber structure, compared with the the layered backfill method of considering construction process, the results of the whole backfill method without considering construction process can not really reflect the deformation of the structure and stress rule. Displacement of structural, the biggest tension stress and pressure stress,and the equivalent stress are larger than results of the layered backfill method of simulating construction process, and it indicate that the results of the whole backfill method lean conservative.2. Comparising the calculation results of the different layers, the author reached a certain conclusions: the more number of plies, the smaller of the biggest tension stress and pressure stress, and the equivalent stress, and calculated results are in conformity with the actual, so we should layer reasonablely according to physical truth in order to achieve better results when do structure finite element analysis during the construction phase. In addition, the layered backfill calculation method simulating construction process can clearly reflect structure deformation and stress of each layer, and be very important for ensuring the safety of the structure during the construction phase and used.3. Other conditions remain invariant, and change the internal friction angle of backfill soil, the results show that: there is a negative correlation between displacement of chamber structure along the horizontal, the maximum equivalent stress, contact stress and internal friction angle. With the increase of backfill layer, differences are gradually increasing. This rule can be used as a referencein when choose backfill material. 4. Through contrastive analysing the construction, the complete construction and operation conditions, we found that equivalent stress is largest in the construction condition. It is second in the complete construction, and it is least in the condition of operating at low water level. Subgrade reaction is still the bigest in the construction condition. It is second in the condition of operating at low water level, and it is least in the complete construction condition. So it is most easy to appeare intensity failure of the shiplock structure and foundation construction.
