In this paper, a new air-conditioning system of desiccant wheel dehumidification coupled with double-stage heat pump(DSCHP) was introduced in details. Temperature and humidity were independently controlled, and the need of the indoor cooling load and wheels energy regeneration was met by the double stage coupling heat pump.By the analysis and comparison on the desiccant wheel dehumidification coupled with double-stage heat pump system and conventional air-conditioning system, it shows that, in the same conditions, compared with the conventional air-conditioning system, the sensible heat load, the refrigerant flow rate and the total consumption energy of the DSCHP are all saved, and the coefficient of performance also improved.In this paper R142b was selected as the experiments refrigerant through the analysis and comparison on the working fluid of high-temperature heat pump. The mathematical model was established including the compressor, condenser, evaporator, and manual throttle. The physical calculation model of R142b was established (including the thermal properties and transport properties in each region.). Compared with the experimental data unit, the simulation results and experimental results are in good agreement.By experiment, the compressor discharge temperature and power consumption increased with the ambient temperature increased; in the situation of the certain wind speed, the outlet air temperature of the high temperature condenser increased with the ambient temperature increased, and the regeneration energy also increased; when the ambient temperature was constant, the outlet air temperature of the high temperature condenser decreased with the increase of wind speed, but increase in wind speed also led to increase air flow, which made the regeneration energy also increased. Considering the thermal efficiency of the fan, the best face velocity of the high temperature condenser was achieved.
