Heavy steel plant is a modern industrial building in an important aspect, and it is the main development direction of the future. This paper summarized the status of the application and structural features of various industrial plants, and pointed out that with China's rapid economic development, large-tonnage cranes heavy demand for steel plant growing.Hangzhou Boiler Group is for the study. This paper Discusses in detail the structure composition of heavy industrial plant and load transfer path, including the structure selection, cross-section form, structure and design methods of the steel columns, steel beams, crane beams and brake systems, support system, building envelope. At the same time, made a comparison of two-dimensional modeling framework of PKPM and three-dimensional framework modeling's calculation, got the correct choice for future reference model. Research the structural deformation of heavy plant under the dynamic load, modal analysis by ANSYS. Dynamic analysis carried out to consider space for each column of beams.Through the research of this plant, it is based on design institute of small that prepared to undertake project of steel structure plant with heavy duty crane. And several problems existing in the design of usual heavy-duty multi-span plant were solved. Also, the research provided technical service for the actual project and helped to reduce the construction cost of the plant.
